School of Engineering Promotes Social Responsibility and Female Hygiene

The School of Engineering recently demonstrated its unwavering commitment to social responsibility through a collaborative outreach initiative with the Student Activity Committee and student coordinators. Recognizing the fundamental importance of providing students with essential exposure and fostering their roles as responsible members of society, the SOE organized an impactful event at a government girls’ school in the vicinity.

The outreach program extended beyond traditional educational activities, encompassing a broader social objective. Dr. Rohini Tarade conducted a presentation during the event, addressing the critical topic of female hygiene. The initiative aimed not only to impart knowledge but also to contribute to the promotion of healthy practices among the female students.

In a proactive step towards addressing a vital aspect of women’s health, sanitary napkins were distributed to the female students, emphasizing the practical application of the knowledge shared. This tangible support reflects the School of Engineering’s dedication to making a positive impact in the community by addressing real-world challenges.

By engaging in such outreach programs, the SOE not only fulfills its social obligations but also instills a sense of responsibility and compassion among its students. This event serves as a commendable example of how educational institutions can go beyond conventional academic boundaries to actively contribute to the well-being and awareness of the broader community.
