M.Tech Space Technology

M.Tech in Space Technology is a two-year postgraduate program that involves the advanced engineering, Design, Analysis, and Operation of Systems used for Space Exploration, Satellite Communications, and Space-Based Applications. It encompasses the development of Spacecraft, Launch Vehicles, Satellite Subsystems, and Space Mission Architectures, Integrating Multidisciplinary Principles of Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Orbital Mechanics, Structural Dynamics, and Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Systems.

The field focuses on the design and optimization of space systems, including Satellite Platforms, Payload Integration, Launch Vehicle Dynamics, Space Propulsion Systems, and Mission Planning. It involves the Application of Computational Modelling, High-Performance Simulation, and experimental validation techniques to ensure system reliability, operational efficiency, and mission success under extreme space environments such as vacuum conditions, thermal loads, and radiation exposure.

Space technology plays a critical role in modern technological infrastructure by enabling satellite-based communication networks, Earth Observation and Remote Sensing, Global Navigation Systems, Weather Prediction, Defence Surveillance, and Deep Space Exploration. The Discipline Integrates Advanced Materials, Avionics, Embedded Systems, Control Engineering, and Aerospace Structures to Develop High-Performance and Sustainable Space Systems.

M.Tech Space Technology

Duration: Two Years | Full Time

Eligibility: Passed bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.
