School of Engineering Celebrates Engineer’s Day

In the vibrant month of October, the School of Engineering orchestrated a remarkable Engineer’s Day, emerging as a standout event within the academic calendar. The seamless collaboration between SAC faculty and student members played a pivotal role in the event’s execution, ensuring a day brimming with entertainment and camaraderie. The highlight of the festivities was the thrilling competitions that engaged participants and culminated in the crowning of Mr. and Ms. Engineer for the academic year 2023-24.

Beyond the excitement of the games, Engineer’s Day also served as a platform to recognize the exceptional contributions of Class Representatives and Deputy Class Representatives. These students, excelling both academically and in their support roles, were acknowledged for serving as vital links between faculty and students, providing unwavering support to the academic community.

The presence of distinguished figures such as Dr. Biswajeet Champaty, Dean of SOE, and Dr. Ashwini Sowani, Director of IQAC, added significant gravitas to the event. Their motivating words resonated with the student body, and they actively participated in honoring and presenting awards to the winners and achievers.

In essence, Engineer’s Day, celebrated in honor of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a trailblazer in Indian engineering, marked a special day dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating the achievements of engineers within the academic community. The event not only fostered a sense of community and camaraderie but also highlighted the importance of recognizing excellence in both academic and supportive roles within the engineering realm.
